John Green Addiction

I'm back from a long, well-needed winter break. However, lots of time off means lots of books. I currently am searching for a new book so, if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments below. I did read two books over winter break and I think one of them might be a new favorite. By the way, I found both of these books on a list called: 100 Best-Ever Teen Novels. The first book I read is, Paper Towns by: John Green. John Green is and will forever be one of my favorite authors. I've read most of his books as you can see in my other blogs. Paper Towns has to be my favorite book. Though, I tend to switch my favorite books everyday. The other book I read was, An Abundance of Katherines by: (wait for it) John Green. His books are just too addicting. I did love both Paper Towns and Abundance of Katherines, I would definitely recommend them. I enjoyed the plot of Paper Towns immensely so that's why it's my favorite but Abundance of Katherines is high on my list. If you're looking for books, I suggest looking at list the I mentioned above: 100 Best-Ever Teen Novels. It's really helpful and the books were voted to be on there so you know they're decent.

I thought I'd add this picture someone drew with the inspiration from Paper Towns. I thought it was really cool and if you have/are reading the book, you'll recognize what the symbols mean and all the references. My favorite quote from this book as to be, "You will go to the paper towns and you will never come back." That's depicted in the picture as well on the left-hand side. You're probably thinking what is this book even about and why does that quote seem so creepy? This book is in fact a mystery. I think most people automatically place John Green in the specific genre of romance because of his most popular book, The Fault in Our Stars, but he writes various genres. I personally think this mystery novel was better than his other romance novels. Before I get side-tracked, I'll tell you the main concept of this book (I don't want to give a lot away). The book starts off in the future when Margo and Quentin find a dead body. Then, through flashbacks, you see Margo and Quentin as high schoolers and they decide to get revenge on all the people that have done bad stuff to Margo. You have to keep in mind that everything is tied together. Margo and Quentin pull pranks on all of Margo's enemies and they get more dangerous and harmful as the story goes on. I'm trying to keep this really broad because I think this book is worth the read. Even if you don't like mystery, I recommend this book. It has other aspects throughout that make it appealing to all people. I would definitely read this book. Happy Reading!
